Distributions
Understanding the properties of uncertainty distributions is an essential skill for the Quantitative Assessment of Exploration Opportunities. This free Analytical Tool helps to analyze and compare the properties of three commonly used uncertainty distributions (the Normal, Lognormal and Beta Distributions)
In this application the Normal and Lognormal Distributions are defined by 2 points on the distribution, while the Beta Distribution is defined by a Minimum, Maximum and 2 points on the distribution. From this input data, the distribution is calculated. A Cutoff can be defined, and the properties of the Cutoff-Distribution are calculated.
In addition, you can also compare two distributions and calculate the probability that one distribution is larger than the other.
