DataMagic

DataMagic is an Add-in for Microsoft Excel, loaded with a variety of utilities to manage and analyze data in Excel-worksheets. The functionality will help to generate new insights in the data while it will boost your capabilities, productivity, and efficiency.

DataMagic User Interface

The user interface consists of an DataMagic Ribbon in the Ribbon Menu bar Excel which give access to several DataMagic Forms that serve as the user interface for several utilities.

  • Select Workbook: allows you to make a selection of workbooks that were previous used with DataMagic.

  • Navigate Books/Sheets: display a navigation panel that allows you to navigate through all open workbooks, all worksheets in these workbooks and all the columns in these worksheets.

  • Mark Active Cell: will mark the Row and Column of the active cell. Note that this functionality will only work if in EXCEL the “Trust access to the VBA project object model” is checked.

  • Define Data Range: utility to define the Data-Range around the active cell. This data-range is subsequently used by al, the DataMagic Data-Range Utilities.

  • Chart Data: utility to make graphs of the data in the DataMagic Data-Range.

  • Edit Data: utility to edit data in the DataMagic Data-Range.

  • Convert Units: utility to convert units in the DataMagic Data-Range.

  • Convert Coordinates: utility to convert coordinates in the DataMagic Data-Range.

  • Records: utility to view/edit records in the DataMagic Data-Range.

  • Merge/Compare Sheets: utility to merge separate spreadsheets into one, or to compare the individual parts of different spreadsheets.

  • Split Sheet: utility o split a data in the DataMagic Data-Range into multiple workbooks or sheets based on selected criteria.

  • PowerPoint: will start a utility that copies Excel Charts into PowerPoint.
